NEBRASKA KICKS BUTT AND TAKES NAMES!
Yes - in only a very short 15 days, we have our NOA-2!!!!!! A process that was supposed to take 30-60 days, took only 15!!!
WOOOOO HOO!
This does not mean we have a visa. What it means is that our petition has been approved with no requests for supporting evidence, and now it moves to the National Visa Center for further processing. So while the government does their thang, I will pull together a ton of documents for Simon to take with him for when he goes on his interview at the consulate in London. This could be in about 3 - 4 months or so.
So - it's all very exciting and scary! Happening very fast, but we are totally ok with that. It will make our financial situation a little more tight than we planned with Simon not working as long as we had hoped before moving, but we will manage and it will all work out in the long run. It always does.
I'm so excited! Eight weeks from today I will be picking him up from the airport - God willing they let him in the country with this visa pending. We are remaining hopeful, as it's all we can do.
Sorry we haven't been updating the site much, and I'm sure we've lost all of our regular visitors because of this, but it's been a busy summer for us. We will make a point to keep everyone up to date during his visit over the holidays as well as through all the visa, immigration, and wedding plans.
And yes love, I'm pea green with envy that you have Marty Haugen coming to your Church!!! :-P
See ya!
~Liza
